Who are we?

 

Anderson Goddard is a family business and was established in 1984. We are heating professionals and specialise in energy performance calculations.

We want to make people aware of energy efficiency with the intension of them, saving money, meeting and understanding building regulations, and reducing their impact on the environment.

Energy ratings are the starting point for energy efficiency, we have to start with identifying the problem before we can find the right solution.

We offer "down to earth practical advise" on the implementation of renewable technology.

We can give honest impartial advise on what will best suite the clients needs, in relation to energy efficiency, and performance, for heating, hot water, lighting, and renewable technologies.

Authorised SAP Assessors for building control compliance

We provide energy performance certificates using the governments Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) for calculating the energy performance of a dwelling.

We can provide SAP certification for building control compliance, or to make recommendations on the installation of energy efficient systems, like heating controls, solar, insulation, etc.

As a company we have been involved in the construction industry for over 20 years, in particularly electrical and mechanical so we have a expert knowledge of practical applications and there implementation.

We offer a personal thorough and professional service providing a quality service at an affordable price for either design and installation, specification or consultation.

For SAP calculations we use MAXIM5 SAP calc software which is certified by BRE, and licensed from Northgate information solutions.

Cracking the code

 

We are working on various projects for compliance with the codes for sustainable development, and are looking for various ambitious opportunities to be able to deliver the equivalent of code 3 or 4 of the code for sustainable development on existing properties.

The following elements of the code are the % reduction in carbon dioxide emissions in comparison to the relevant Target Emission Rate (TER) set out in the building regulations Part L 2006.

There are other criteria required for a dwelling to comply with the codes for sustainable development which include water consumption and the impact on the environment from the construction, but as energy assessors we will for now concentrate on the required reduction in the dwellings carbon dioxide emissions.

The government has set an ambitious implementation of the codes for sustainable development, a new dwelling built after 2010 will have to meet Code 3, and in 2016 all new dwellings will have to be carbon neutral and achieve code 6.

At Anderson Goddard we are fully aware of the challenges that face architects and developers on their road to meeting code 6 for sustainable development and are constantly looking for practical solutions for sustainability.

Solar installers

We are accredited solar water heating installers and offer honest practical advice on what type of systems will best suite your needs.

Micro generation from Micro Combined Heat and Power (micro Chp), solar PV and wind turbines, which are all commercially available, will enable us all to become energy producers generating our own electricity and selling what we don’t use back to our energy providers.
